What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of about 120 different compounds known as Phyto cannabinoids. These are naturally occurring throughout many plant species. CBD acts on cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) of the endocannabinoid system, which are found primarily in the body but also in the peripheral and central nervous systems. The endocannabinoid system regulates many physiological responses of the body including pain, memory, appetite, and mood. CB1 receptors can be found within the pain pathways of the brain and spinal cord where they are acted on by CBD as pain reduction and immune support. CB2 receptors influenced by CBD also act on immune cells, inducing anti-inflammatory processes
